Good Reads

What is the definition of a Good Read? Inquiries often seek suggestions for reading, names of Good Reads? I don’t know how to respond. I don’t know because I don’t know how to define a Good Read. My naïve comment is that a read that leaves me thinking, pondering, observing, learning, maturing, nurturing is a Good Read. One sentence or a whole book, I don’t classify it, I don’t know how to classify it. Do you agree?

  1. A lot of sites, are just individuals or a group of such who wish to catch the money trickling down from the money maker conglomerates. I’m almost sure that “Good Reads” the entity claiming to have the finger on the pulse of the best books to read is one of those sites. They want to become just another net that can aid the money making conglomerates to bring in more buyers. Apologize if perhaps your post was not a dig at “what qualifies Good Reads to tell folks what is and what isn’t a good read…”. But I’m sick of all these pretentious sites even in blogging that are really commercial. Thanks for the post, friend.

    1. You don’t need to apologize. Actually I am glad that you shared your views. I tend to agree with you on this. Everything is about commercializing in this age, quite sadly!
